Johnny M is a musician, DJ, writer, and artist.  Since 2000, he has been creating original electronic music in a variety of styles.  A classically trained musician, Johnny creates in a style he calls “organic techno” seeking to merge the flow of classical music with the power of electronica.

Johnny cites influences as diverse as European electronic artists like Sunscreen and Enigma as well as powerful songwriters like Kate Bush and classical composers such as Claude Debussy and Felix Mendelssohn.  Also influencing the music is Johnny’s love of film, especially classic science fiction and horror as well as exploitation and grindhouse features.  Their sense of bold weirdness is evidenced not only in Johnny’s approach to music but in the sound samples in songs such as “Fixed Thoughts.”

Johnny became part of the roster of Dark World International with his first full-length album Riddle.  He has also participated in jams in the Dark World studio and hopes to make a strong addition to Dark World’s unique family of musicians.

Johnny currently lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with his beloved cats Madeline and Mario.
